A typical firring strip is cut from regulated timber.
These firrings have originated from a piece of 2" treated timber (47mm x 47mm) 3.6m long.
Please note that the cut edge will be untreated.
This piece of timber, has been cut along the diagonal to create 2 timbers 40-38mm down to 2mm.
Firrings are used to create an angle in the construction of flat roofs to ensure water run off.
